How to Set Shipping Weights and Box Dimensions

This procedure can be accomplished when Creating a Tangible Inventory Item or as outlined below after the inventory item is created.

To Set Shipping Weights and Box Dimensions click on Sell (1) then click on the Inventory (2) tab then find the inventory item you want to manage and click the Pencil (Edit) Icon.

When the page refreshes scroll down to Step 4 - Description & Details. From the Measurements (03) drop down choose the preferred measurement type (Standard US or Metric).

Providing accurate item measurements and weights assists Content Shelf with UPS and FedEx shipping calculations. The dimensions should be the item's outer dimensions. When calculating UPS and FedEx rates, Content Shelf will automatically make a best guess as to what box size the final order needs to ship in, using the most common box sizes available for each service.

Make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
